Kathy Paxton, Office Manager/Sales/Bookkeeping
Donna Dinwiddie, Sales
Trista Oberlander, Receptionist/Shipping
Our receptionist and front office person is Trista Oberlander. Before coming to Wind River Seed she worked with Nowcap Migrant and Seasonal Head Start and CDI Head Start. She has a bright and sunny way about her and she brings energy to the office. She is also expecting her first child in the midst of our busy season... Septerber!
Over the past eight years most people who call have talked to our Office Manager Kathy Paxton. A mother of three children ages 9, 17 and 20, and grandma to a new born, she started as a temporary receptionist after closing her own child care center. She actually took care of other people's kids too!
At this point her duty list seems endless. Being a former OTR driver she handles complex shipping issues. She is our bookkeeper, our web site, human resources officer and sales account manager for many of our energy sector customers.
A couple of years ago she must have gotten bored because she added President of the Wyoming Jaycees to the list and is currently going to school full time. Kathy also knows everyone; where they live, who is dating who or has broken up with whom, and what they did to end up spending the weekend in the hoosegow. She is our own personal People Magazine.
Donna Dinwiddie is our horse person. As a matter of fact she was late the other morning because her horse, Sinbad, snuck out of his fence and had to be retrieved. She has been here for close to three years now.
Donna does a lot of the sales work with our farm and ranch customers as well as anyone else who might call or come in. She is one of those people trying to learn Latin now and is excited about the seed industry. At some point in the past year she must have gotten bored too. Maybe I'm not working my staff hard enough. She completed training and certification as an EMT. So she gets to spend her spare time patching people up.
In addition to sales she is also Wind River Seed's graphics person. One of her greatest achievements in this area has been to develop our new catalogue from concept to hard copy. Then she went a step further and put it on a CD with a plant slide show that you can also view on the website. Often before she even says good morning she describes something she passed on the way to work that she should have shot with her camera. I'd be pleased for you to take a look at her work.
